Prints
Frames from The Wait and Against the Light are available as pigment prints, signed, in a numbered edition of twelve. Ordering runs through me directly for now, name the frame and I’ll take it from there.
Street portraits are not sold. Strangers is a showcase. Those are portraits captured in public places or with the permission of their subject, which is not the same as permission to sell a face, so nothing in that collection is offered as a print.
- Paper
- ILFORD GALERIE Smooth Pearl, 310gsm, as standard. A resin-coated heavyweight base, 310 microns thick, 99% opaque, with a smooth pearl surface that holds deep blacks without throwing glare back at the room. It is the stock this work is printed on, and the one the monochrome was graded against. If a frame wants a different surface, say so when you enquire.
- Ink and longevity
- Pigment ink, which sits on the surface rather than soaking in, on ILFORD’s resin-coated base. Stable under normal indoor display. Keep it off a wall that gets direct sun and it will long outlast the frame you put it in.
- Edition and signature
- Twelve per frame per size, signed and numbered on the reverse. Once a size sells out it is not reprinted at that size.
- Borders
- Every size is printed with a white border for handling and framing, so the sheet is larger than the image: 11 × 17 for the small, 17 × 22 for the standard, 24 × 34 for the large.
- Framing and shipping
- Prints ship unframed and rolled in a tube as standard, which travels best and keeps the cost sensible. Framed and mounted options can be arranged locally, ask.
Find the frame
Open a collection and note the caption line under the picture, something like “The avenue exhales · New York”. That identifies it exactly.
Send it over
Caption, collection, size, and whether you want paper advice. If you are unsure about scale for a particular wall, say how wide the wall is and I’ll tell you what fits.
Print and post
I come back with price and availability in the edition, then print, sign, number, and ship once you confirm.
